Divorce
If a man says ‘I am giving you a divorce’ and they didn’t make any ruju after that. And after few months wife asks did you divorce me, he says yes I divorced you because you asked for it. Is it a valid divorce?
Answer
Wa’alaykum as Salām wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuhu,
The first divorce is valid.
The information provided to the wife is not considered as a divorce, if the husband did not intend so.
