Posting videos
As salamu alaikum,
nowadays many people play games together , live stream these games and post highlights of their games on youtube. It even becomes their full-time job. I am asking to see if i can do that , post videos where i play games without a camera of myself ,just the voice, would that be okay or no.

Dear brother,
Earning from live streaming gaming on YouTube is permissible subject to certain stringent conditions. The following conditions need to be fulfilled:
1: Content:
The content of the videos should conform to Islamic beliefs; monotheism etc, should honour islamic personalities, sites and rituals, does not have inanimate pictures, music, nudity, gambling, alcohol etc, enhances mental and physical health, and are not addictive and harmful.
2: Advertisements;
Any advertisement posted on your video should fulfill the aforementioned conditions and should also be Shariah compliant.
3: Balance:
The videos should not cause you to be neglectful in prayers and other important duties.
If any of the above conditions are not met, the ruling could change.
Having said that, given the potential nature of gaming, adverts, media, it would be best to try and attain your livelihood from some other avenue.
