Mixed up my duas all the time, I’m scared

10 Jan 2022 Ref-No#: 4333

All the time when I make dua, in my mind there will be unwanted voices in my head, and I accidentally say them in my sujood or when I’m just making dua, like as an example I would say (O Allah erase all my good deeds) by accident and like another example is (O Allah grant me Hellfire) accidently, would Allah Azzawajal accept these ? And if I mistaken my duas what do I do and say to Allah?

Also another one if I accidently seek refuge with Allah from the wrong thing what will happen, like I accidently said “O Allah protect from worshiping you” and these voices get me to sometimes say “O Allah protect from Quran and Sunnah” and I don’t want allah to accept that what do I do, cause I’m scared he will accept that?
And all day all these evil and bad things will be said that i accidently say and utter in my sujood and salah would allah accept these and what should I do ?

Answer

Assalāmuʿalaykum Wa Raḥmatullāhi Wa Barakātuh

Allāh ﷻ says:

“Allāh does not burden any soul with more than it can bear: each gains whatever good it has done, and suffers its bad- ‘Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or make mistakes. Lord, do not burden us as You burdened those before us. Lord, do not burden us with more than we have the strength to bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so help us against the disbelievers.” [al-Qur’ān 2:286]

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Allāh has forgiven my nation for mistakes and forgetfulness, and what they are forced to do.” [Ibn Mājah]

The Prophet ﷺ also said:

“Verily, Allāh is more pleased with the repentance of His slave than a person who has his camel in a waterless desert carrying his provision of food and drink and it is lost. He, having lost all hopes (to get that back), lies down in shade and is disappointed about his camel; when all of a sudden, he finds that camel standing before him. He takes hold of its reins and then out of boundless joy blurts out: ‘O Allāh, you are my slave and I am Your Lord. He commits this mistake out of extreme joy.”

Based on the above, it is quite evident that Allāh ﷻ will overlook those Duās which you have uttered in negligence; hence, there remains no reason for you to live in fear thinking that Allāh ﷻ will allow the occurrence of such unfortunate conditions which you have mistakenly asked for.

It should also be noted that if you make such Duās in your Sujūd, then such Salāhs shall be repeated.
