Is it a sin for me if someone misunderstands me?
Question
At first I mentioned someone
As my favourite person alive
But what I actually meant was
She was one of my favourite person
As I thought the word to be plural
I used it at first then I realised that favourite word is not plural
So to compensate my mistake I told her you are one among my favourite persons
Is it okay or a sin
Do I need to admit that I made a mistake the first time or
Just because I specified my mistake it’s okay?
Answer
Wa’alaykum as Salām wa rahmatullāhi wa barakātuhu,
In this scenario, you have not incurred any sin nor is there a need for any further clarification.
And Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala knows best.
