Huramt e musaharah
Assalam mualay kum
If a family does not know that hurmat e musaharah has happened will they still be sinning and living in zina and what about if the child does now and does not tell the parents or what about no one knows but it has happened will they all go to hell
Answer
Wa ʿAlaykumus Salām Wa Raḥmatullāhi Wa Barakātuh
Sins are such in that they may be committed intentionally or unintentionally, voluntarily or involuntarily.
The scholars have advised that when one invokes the forgiveness of Allāh ﷻ, then he/she should also seek forgiveness for those sins which were committed unknowingly.
In the enquired scenario, if Ḥurmah al-Muṣāharah has occurred then the family would be sinful for living in an illegitimate manner, irrespective of whether they are aware of it or not.
If the child knows but does not make the parents aware, thus allowing them to continue in the described manner, then the child too will be sinful.
If none is aware, they will still be sinful. However, the matter of granting Paradise and dooming to Hell is solely in the hands of Allāh ﷻ and one should have great hope in His mercy.
