Dua at the end of salah
Is it permissible to make dua in english after saying “at tahiyyatu” and giving salams in the last rakat of fard salah? Will making dua in english invalidate my salah? I heard that making dua in english invalidates the salah, but also that the dua at the end of salah is not considered as actually being in salah. Could you explain in detail please?

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Salah is an act of worship. Worship is always done in accordance to the rulings of Shar’ia and not in accordance to one’s wishes.
It is not permissible to make dua in english before salams in qa’dah in the last rakat of fard salah. It will invalidate salah. The dua of salah is not a mandatory part of Salah but still is a sunnah part of Salah. Leaving sunnah due to some valid reason is permitted but can not be changed for ease or concentration or any other reason.
