Assalamualaikum wa Rahmatullah
I heard dreams get manifested after they’re interpreted and whatever a dream interpreter interprets this is what it gets manifested, what happens when 2 different dream interpreters who give you 2 different interpretations of same dream?
Answer
Wa ʿAlaykumus Salām Wa Raḥmatullāhi Wa Barakātuh
There are three possible scenarios taking into consideration the interpreter:
- If both interpreters are religious scholars, or both interpreters are not religious scholars, then the interpretation would become manifest in accordance with the first interpretation.
- If one interpreter is a religious scholar with experience in the science of interpreting dreams and the other is a religious scholar with no such experience and knowledge, then the interpretation would become manifest in accordance with the interpretation of the former.
- If one interpreter is a religious scholar and the other is not, then the interpretation would become manifest in accordance with the interpretation with the religious scholar.

قال أبو عبيد وغيره معنى قوله: “الرؤيا لأول عابر”، إذا كان العابر الأول عالماً فعبر، فأصاب وجه التعبير، وإلا فهي لمن أصاب بعده، إذ ليس المدار إلا على إصابة الصواب في تعبير المنام، ليتوصل بذلك إلى مراد الله فيما ضربه من المثل، فإذا أصاب فلا ينبغي أن يسأل غيره، وإن لم يصب فليسأل الثاني، وعليه أن يخبر بما عنده، ويبين ما جهل الأول، ثم رد الحافظ على ذلك فقال: قلت وهذا التأويل لا يساعده حديث أبي رزين، أن الرؤيا إذا عبرت وقعت، إلا أن يدعى تخصيص عبرت، بأن عابرها يكون عالماً مصيباً، فيعكر عليه قوله في الرؤيا المكروهة، ولا يحدث بها أحداً، فقد تقدم في حكمة هذا النهي أنه ربما فسرها تفسيراً مكروها على ظاهرها، مع احتمال أن تكون محبوبة في الباطن فتقع على ما فسر، انظر: فتح الباري -ابن حجر- (12/ 432)
