Divorce
Asalam o alikum , if a husband said to wife if you go in that person house ,you are free or you will free , pronounced this sentence 2 times, at that time wife was pregnant , the word free use for talaq ? Or talaq takes place if she go there? How many divorce will take place if it is valid divorce? Or it is necessary to say the word divorce or talaq ?
Answer
Wa ʿAlaykumus Salām Wa Raḥmatullāhī Wa Barakātuh
The statement made by the husband will only constitute a Ṭalāq if the husband had made an intention to that effect.
If he intended a Ṭalāq on both pronouncements, then two Ṭalāqs would have occurred.
