Caused parents to miss a prayer: follow-up
Assalamu Alaykum. This is regarding the question Ref-No#: 4947. Sorry I didn’t clarify, but my brother is back to Islam, Alhamdulilah, as far as I know. Now, do I have to inform them he got out of Islam and came back, when informing them about the prayer? When I told my brother, I got a big backlash from him. He told me he was going to lie to them and bear the sin because he cannot afford to let them know. I, of course, don’t want him to do that. Is it permissible to lie in this case in order not to sadden them? For instance, say his Wuduu got nullified?

Wa’alaykum as Salām wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuhu,
You may tell them that he was not in a state of Wuḍū, and hence they should repeat the prayer.
