Ahlul Kitab
Assalamu Alaykum,
Are American evangelicals ahlul kitab? They say that Adam (alayhi salam) rebelled against God like Shaytaan did, audubillah, and that God can be attributed with kayfiyyah and mahiyyah, and that God’s dhat can and does subsist in every location in space, which sounds like pantheism. One Baptist even said he believes that God in Islam is the anti-christ, and they proudly blaspheme every single prophet ever sent by God. Are these Christians actually ahlul kitab?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Wa ‘alaykum us-salāmu wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala has, in the Quran al kareem declared Jews and Christians as Ahlul Kitab despite their grave offences and unforgivable sin eg. associating partners with Allah ta’ala, unjustly killing prophets and pious people, corrupting their books etc.
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala honoured them with His books and as long as they believe their books and prophet to be divine, regardless of their deviances and shirk can be considered Ahlul Kitab.
Most so called Christians and Jews of our times are atheist and do not believe in a God and in his divine guidance through divine Books and Prophets.
Avoid eating their food and marrying their women because even if not atheist these Ahlul Kitab do not care about their religious rites of slaughtering and marriage and most of their women are not chaste either.
