Answer

Wa’alaykum as Salām wa rahmatullāhi wa barakātuhu,

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The devil is present with one of you in everything he does” [Muslim]

Based on the above, it is clear that the devil will always attempt to tamper with the state of one’s Wuḍū and Ṣalāh.

However, the best remedy for such is to train the mind to ignore or divert the mind from such evil whispers.

Once a person has commenced Ṣalāḥ then to not focus on what has passed i.e., the validity of one’s Wuḍū, especially after having conviction that one is in the state of Wuḍū.

The Jurists have also stated:

“The state of that which one has firm conviction in cannot be tampered by mere doubts”.

If one is convinced that his Ṣalāḥ has been compromised due to an inadequate performance of Wuḍū, then only will the Wuḍū and Ṣalāh be repeated, but they will not be repeated by having a mere doubt.
