Explanation of a previous fatwa
Assalamualaykum. I read that mufti Ismail moods studied under mufti ebrahim desai. So I wanted to ask that on one of his websites mufti ebrahim desai said that women can go to visit their parents once a week and other relatives once a year. Is it permissible for a women to visit her parents more than once a week and other relatives more than once a year, even if there is no need and it’s just for fun or for the sake of wanting to see them?

Respected sister,
A woman can visit her parents and other relatives as many times as is mutually decided by the woman and her husband keeping in mind its practical and financial feasibility.
