Is it a black magic which makes my husband abusive
Question
Few weeks ago I got blood drops on my dress. My husband 3 jeans were also being cut from zip side. We fight alot. And from past 2 months my husband use hands in an arguments like pushing, hitting etc. He always then say that he did to made me quite bcuz I was mishaving. I am 5 years older than him and its our love marrige. He says he can do whatever he can like doing physical abuse as its allowed in Islam to stop wife from something first by saying then by separatin bed and then hitting that there is no marks left. He hit my head and hold my arms so tightly from inner sides to cause me pain. Its been only 14 months since we got married.
I called police as we live in UK and they arrested him and release on bail. I try to reconcile . He also wanted but he saying he has his terms that he will go back to Pakistan( we are on student visa in UK) and keep me in a room which is upsatirs store room at the moment cuz there is no space for me in the house. And there will be contact with my family and friends.
He said someone has done black magic on him to destory his life..He was doing good job in UK it wasnt a relevant field job but a good office job. As he when got arrested has to left our flat and he said the clothes he saw later were having cuts.
Can you please see if all of the bad things happened are bcuz of a black magic?
Answer
Wa’alaykum as-Salām wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuhu,
I’m deeply sorry to hear about the difficulties you’re facing. It’s crucial to address this situation with care and support.
Regarding your specific concerns:
Physical Abuse and Islam:
-
- Islam does not condone physical abuse. The teachings of Islam advocate for treating one’s spouse with kindness and respect. The concept of physical discipline mentioned in the Qurʾān is not intended to justify abuse. The Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ emphasized the good treatment of women and never used physical violence against them. The behavior you’re describing contradicts these principles.
Black Magic:
-
- Belief in black magic (siḥr) is part of Islamic doctrine, but such claims should be approached with caution. Issues in relationships often arise from personal and interpersonal problems rather than supernatural causes. While seeking spiritual protection and help is a part of Islamic practice, it is equally important to address any immediate concerns through practical and professional means.
- If you believe black magic may be involved, consult a reputable Rāqī (spiritual healer). It is preferable to visit a Rāqī in person, but if that is not possible, you may consider online consultations. Note: Be cautious with any services or individuals you contact to ensure their credibility and legitimacy.
Actions to Consider:
-
- Seek Professional Help: Consult a counselor or therapist for guidance and support. They can help you navigate this difficult situation and offer strategies for managing the relationship and your well-being.
- Legal and Support Services: In the UK, domestic violence support services can provide assistance and advice. If you feel unsafe, reach out to these organizations for immediate support.
- Islamic Counseling: Speak with a knowledgeable Islamic scholar or counselor who can offer advice aligned with Islamic principles. They can provide guidance on both your spiritual and personal challenges.
Safety First:
-
- If you are in immediate danger or feel threatened, prioritize your safety. Contact local authorities or support organizations for protection and advice.
In summary, while concerns about black magic can be addressed, the primary focus should be on addressing the abusive behavior and ensuring your safety and well-being. Seek support from professionals and trusted individuals who can offer the help you need. Also, consider consulting professionals to determine whether black magic might be influencing the situation.
And Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala knows best.
