Working as Software developer in Insurance Broker company
Want to know my earning is halal or not.
i am working in an american company. It is a brokerage house where they sell different products of different companies and get commission on it. I am working for the IT department for people who are selling health insurance plans to americans. my company is not a insurance company they sell plans of insurance companies and get commission on it. So my salary is coming from that commission by selling health insurance.
please guide me i am earning halal or not

Assalāmuʿalaykum Wa Raḥmatullāḥi Wa Barakāṭuh
From the very onset, it should be made clear that the sale of health insurance is not permissible.
It should also be noted that with your qualifications, Alḥamdulillāh, there are many other jobs that you may pursue.
Consider this a test from Allāh ﷻ and, In Shā Allāh, having a positive mindset, you will not fail this test.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Seek a permissible livelihood for you and for your family. Indeed, this is also Jihād in the path of Allāh ﷻ. Know well, that the help of Allāh ﷻ lies in pure trade.” [Majmaʿ al-Zawā-id]
When one withholds themselves from impermissible earnings, Allāh ﷻ will definitely open up many other avenues of pure income for him.
May Allāh ﷻ ease your path, grant you pure sustenance and blessings in your sustenance.
