Touching of Privates
Assalam u Alaikum.
If someone touches their male genital because of an itch, and then touches an object, is that object considered impure? If the object in question cannot be washed (phone), what shall we do, will a wipe be sufficient?
Answer
Wa ʿAlaykumus Salām Wa Raḥmatullāhi Wa Barakātuh
Such an object would only be considered impure when an actual impurity, e.g., urine or semen, or its traces were transferred to it, in which case the impurities should then be washed or wiped until they have been removed.
