16 Mar 2023 Ref-No#: 5080

Assalamualaikum Sheikh
I’m in a telegram study group where a student insulting our religion by commenting abusive words…. so without responding him I ask the admin(teacher) to either warn him or block/ban him from the group.so one of the student of that group who is a Muslim tells me that complaining regularly(many time)/one time to a non Muslim(by his definition who may not act against that
previous accused guy) in this matter is impermissible and he also tells that it is like a begging to a non Muslim for seeking justice…
So Sheikh it’s really impressible?
I’m just preventing them and defending my deen…..so telling admin is really impermissible?

Answer

Wa’alaykum as Salām wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuhu,

It is permissible to tell the admin of the group that such posts should not be permitted and should be deleted. You are correct in defending your religion in this manner. Justice may be sort from non-Muslim. Please ask your respected friend if some continuous write against his parents on the group, will he just sit back and not take any action based on the argument that he presented?
