Religion of Ubaydullah Bin Jahsh

Dear Mufti Saheb,May Allah bless him

My friend was told me that one story about Ubayd-Allah ibn Jahsh , where Ubayd-Allah ibn Jahsh and his wife became Muslims, but because of Meccan persecution, they moved to Abyssinia. There, he converted — from Islam — to Christianity. He “testified” his newfound faith to other Muslims who came from Mecca. He was not killed, and he remained a Muslim until his death.

My question here is,can Mufti Saheb verify this story ? because what I have heard from my ustad is Ubayd-Allah ibn Jahsh died in Christinanity ?
