Storage of the Quraan

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Regarding this fatwa: #3445
If there is a shelf that is from the roof until around a person’s head height with a few shelves, will it be ok to keep the quraan on the shelf that is at a person’s height, rather than the top shelf (the top shelf cannot be reached when standing on the ground)?

Answer
Wa’alaykum as Salām wa rahmatullāhi wa barakātuhu,
It is best to place the Qurān in the highest shelve that you can easily reach. Since you mentioned that the higher shelf cannot be reached whilst standing on the ground, it will be correct to place the Qurān on this shelf which reaches till the height of the head.
And Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala knows best.
