I had a dream where I was Muslim
Question
I’m non Muslim and had a dream where I was Muslim. I can’t remember a lot about my dream, all I remember was I was in my old school walking between lessons. However I’m a transgender woman and I understand that is Haram. What should I do?
Answer
It’s wonderful that you had a dream about Islam! Dreams can often serve as meaningful prompts for self-discovery, potentially indicating a calling towards Islam. We warmly encourage you to explore this beautiful religion further and learn about its teachings.
Regarding your concerns about transgender identity, Islam places great emphasis on treating all individuals with respect and compassion. There are resources available that explore how Islamic principles can address contemporary issues. If you have questions about this or any other aspect of Islam, local scholars can provide guidance and insights.
Begin by embedding within yourself the belief in the Oneness of Allah and recognizing Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as His final messenger. Obtaining a copy of the Quran and reaching out to a local Imam or Islamic Center can be excellent initial steps in your journey of discovery.
And Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala knows best.
