Assalam Aleikum
1.I want to know when does the domino effect of mutajjanis items stop?
For example, if the right hand of a person becomes najis , and then, while still wet, it touches his left hand. Now, if the left hand after having dried up, touches a wet cloth, and that cloth touches a phone.Has the cloth and the phone become najis?
2. Do sweaty hands transfer najasah?
3.How for example do i make my phone, the charger or doorhandles tahir after they got najis?
Please give me a detailled answer.
Jazak allahu kheiran

Answer

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

1) Najasah (impurity) is of two types:

a. That which is visible and apparent. An example of this is excreta. In this case an item will be regarded pure when the najaasah itself and its effects (color, smell) disappear even after washing only once. In contrast, some impurities might leave marks such as colour that
may be difficult to remove. In this case a thorough wash until the rinsing water becomes clear of any impurity will be sufficient even though a stain might still be visible.

b. Najaasah which is invisible to the eye such as urine. In this case one must wash until one is certain that the impurity has been removed. This can normally be attained if one washes the item three times and squeezes the water out each time.

Furthermore, the Jurists have mentioned that when an impure material comes in contact with a pure
material, if traces of impurity can be seen, then the pure will become impure and it will be necessary to wash that portion. If no traces can be seen then the pure item remains pure.

In the example cited in your query, neither the cloth nor the phone will become impure, as understood from the detailed explanation above.

2) If there hands are impure and become sweaty, and traces of the sweat can be found on the item, then that item will become impure. If no traces can be seen, the item will remain pure.

3) If a phones, charger, door handle etc become impure, then one may use a clean cloth to wipe away the impurity. This should be done three times, and after every wipe, the cloth must be rinsed.
