Impermissibility of women shaping their eyebrows

I have been told that it is not correct for females to shape their eyebrows. Is this true?

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
Yes, you have heard correctly, that it is not permissible to remove the hair growing between the eyebrows on the upper tip of the nose. It is also NOT permissible to shape and thin the eyebrows. [Fataawa Mahmudiyya Vol. 5, Pg. 181]
Women who shape and thin out their eyebrows have been cursed in the narration where the prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said:
«لعن الله الواشمات والموتشمات، والمتنمصات والمتفلجات، للحسن المغيرات خلق الله» (متفق عليه)
“Allah cursed those women who practice tattooing, request tattooing be done for them, those who shave the eye-brows, those who request that they eyebrows be shaved and those who create spaces between their teeth artificially to look beautiful, such ladies have changed what Allāh has created.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, 6/147 and Sahih Muslim, 3/1678)
Likewise, the following text also makes this clear:
النمص: نتف الشعر ومنه المنماص المنقاش اهـ ولعله محمول على ما إذا فعلته لتتزين للأجانب، وإلا فلو كان في وجهها شعر ينفر زوجها عنها بسببه، ففي تحريم إزالته بعد، لأن الزينة للنساء مطلوبة للتحسين، إلا أن يحمل على ما لا ضرورة إليه لما في نتفه بالمنماص من الإيذاء. وفي تبيين المحارم إزالة الشعر من الوجه حرام إلا إذا نبت للمرأة لحية أو شوارب فلا تحرم إزالته بل تستحب اهـ، وفي التتارخانية عن المضمرات: ولا بأس بأخذ الحاجبين وشعر وجهه ما لم يشبه المخنث اهـ ومثله في المجتبى تأمل (الدر المختار وحاشية ابن عابدين (رد المحتار) (6/ 373)
