Ettiquettes for Reading an Islamic book
1. Is ablution necessary when reading any Islamic book such as Aqeedah, Biography, Tafsir, Hadith etc. 2. If I perform ablution, will there be any benefit according of Qur’an and Hadith? 3. If I think it is urgent then, will it be bidat.

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
If a book has more verse of the Quran compared to other text, then it will be essential to only touch that book with Wudhu.
However, if the other contents are more than the Quranic verse, then whilst it will be permissible to touch the book without Wudhu, it will still be preferable to be in a state of ablution before touching such books. Even in these books, if there are verses of the Quran cited, you would need Wudhu for your finger or hand to go over those verses.
