Hit and run
I live in canada i am an international student i have a car
do food delivery i was doing a delivery and suddenly
ust hit an expensive car it was a small hit nothing majo
nappend to to any car but i am not sure about the othe
expensive car there are small cracks on bumper i was
very scared and started paniking and i ran away from
over there so i dont know if i have damaged his car or not
fi have i still cannot go and say anything i cannot able
to pay for his car .but i can save it might take months
what should i do. I was hoping that if i dont get caught i
can save some cash then somehow return the money to
him by any way. I was also hoping ifi pay sadaga each
jumma will get forgiveness from Allah?. Is there any
other way that Allah can forgive me rather that i go to
that person 1 fi dont get caught i will surely try my best
to send this person money back? Please answer i am

Wa’alaykum as Salām wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuhu,
A small dent on an expensive car can diminish the value drastically.
Thus, you should start to save up. When you have enough funds, you should try to locate the person whose car you hit. This could be done by driving around in the locality close by to where this transpired, for a few days going at the same time to the place where you hit him etc. If you find him, you can ask for forgiveness and present the funds.
If it will take a long duration to gather this cash, you should try to this this soon. Apologise to him and tell him that you will save the funds and pay him weekly/monthly. He might just waive the amount.
If you cannot find him, then you may give the funds in charity. However, if you find him after that, you must still pay him.
Then you need to cry before Allāh and beg Him to forgive you.
