Female Circumcision
Asalamu alaykum wrb
Is the following equivalent to female circumcision?:
Clitoral hood reduction, also termed clitoral hoodectomy,clitoral unhooding, clitoridotomy,or (partial) hoodectomy, is a plastic surgery procedure for reducing the size and the area of the clitoral hood (prepuce) in order to further expose the clitoral glans of the clitoris.

By way of definition, clitoral hood reduction is not the equivalent of female circumcision. It has also been deemed as a form of cosmetic gynecological procedure and mutilation to the external genitalia; hence, it will not be permissible.
