In the shade of the throne of Allah
Question
i am 20yrs old…from 13yrs i think i reached puberty so…from 13 to 19yrs i was not practising islam..if i in’sha’Allah practice from now to the end of my young age…will i be in the shade of the arsh of Allah?becz in the hadith it is mentioned about a young boy who is brought up in the obedience of Allah..and some of my young years have gone in disobeying Allah

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
Yes, be starting now, you will still get the reward of being in the Shade of the ‘Arsh. Also practice on these three qualities which are mentioned in the same narration:
- Remain attached to the Masjid. Spend as much time as possible in the Masjid.
- Love for the pleasure of Allah. Meet people solely for Allah, for no material gain and ulterior motive.
- Give charity discreetly in a way that no one knows that you donated.
Insha Allah, if you practice on these qualities with firm conviction and hope, you will definitely be under the shade of Allah.
عن أبي هريرة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال سبعة يظلهم الله في ظله يوم لا ظل إلا ظله الإمام العادل وشاب نشأ في عبادة ربه ورجل قلبه معلق في المساجد ورجلان تحابا في الله اجتمعا عليه وتفرقا عليه ورجل طلبته امرأة ذات منصب وجمال فقال إني أخاف الله ورجل تصدق أخفى حتى لا تعلم شماله ما تنفق يمينه ورجل ذكر الله خاليا ففاضت عيناه (متفق عليه)
وعن الثاني إن الشاب من خمسة عشر إلى ثلاثين (الفتاوى البزازية – 4/ 23)
